Ensure Your Measurements Are Beyond Reproach

In the world of electrical work, engineering, and manufacturing, your multimeter is your primary source of truth. But what happens when that truth becomes unreliable? A miscalibrated multimeter isn’t just a minor inconvenience; it’s a significant business risk. From causing costly rework and product failures to creating serious safety hazards, the stakes couldn’t be higher.

At Premier Calibration Sdn Bhd, we provide more than just a routine multimeter calibration service. We deliver certified precision and unwavering confidence for your critical operations.

Why Calibration is a Technical Necessity, Not an Option

All electronic components, including the precision resistors, reference voltages, and analog-to-digital converters inside your multimeter, drift over time. This drift is caused by environmental factors, normal wear and tear, and even minor electrical surges. Calibration is the scientific process of comparing your instrument’s readings against a reference standard with a much higher accuracy (typically 4:1 or 10:1 ratio) to identify and correct these deviations.

Our process involves:

  • Traceability: Our reference standards are directly traceable to the National Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST) or other recognized national metrology institutes, creating an unbroken chain of accuracy.
  • Comprehensive Testing: We don’t just check one function. We perform a full performance verification across all key parameters—DC/AC Voltage, DC/AC Current, and Resistance—at multiple points across each range to ensure linearity and accuracy.
  • Adjustment (As Required): If deviations are found, our highly trained technicians perform precise internal adjustments to bring your multimeter back within its specified manufacturer’s tolerances.

Is Your Multimeter Costing You Money?
Recognize the Signs.

Don’t wait for a major failure to act. If you recognize any of these scenarios, it’s time for calibration:

  • Inconsistent Readings: Measurements that fluctuate or don’t match other trusted instruments.
  • After a Shock: The multimeter has been dropped or subjected to an electrical overload.
  • Prior to Critical Measurements: Starting a new project where precision is non-negotiable.
  • Regular Compliance Schedule: To meet the requirements of ISO 9001, IATF 16949, AS9100, or internal quality control procedures.

Secure Your Operational Integrity Today

FAQ for Multimeter Calibration Services

SAMM Accreditation Calibration means that the accuracy of our reference standards is verified against a chain of higher-level standards, all the way back to the “Skim Areditatsi Makmal Malaysia” in Malaysia and recognised globally. This unbroken chain, documented in certificates, ensures your measurements are internationally recognized, reliable, and defensible in audits.

ISO/IEC 17025 is the international gold standard for testing and calibration laboratories. While many labs can perform calibration, an accredited lab like ours has proven its technical competence, impartiality, and operates a robust quality management system. An ISO 17025 certificate provides the highest level of confidence that your calibration is technically valid and globally accepted for regulatory and customer audits.

You will receive a detailed certificate that typically includes:

  • Data (the instrument’s condition).
  • The measurement uncertainties for each test point.
  • A list of the reference standards used.
  • Statement of traceability to national standards.
  • The technician’s signature and the date of calibration etc.

Yes, it is highly recommended. Even new instruments can have slight deviations from the factory due to shipping vibrations or initial component drift. For any critical measurement application, an initial calibration verifies that your new tool is accurate right out of the box, providing a known baseline for its future performance.

If your multimeter fails (i.e., its data is outside acceptable tolerances), we will immediately contact you. We will provide the out-of-tolerance data and recommend the next steps, which is typically a correction in usage. You will always have the final approval before we proceed with any work.

Our standard turnaround time is 5-8 business days upon receipt of your instrument at our lab but we do offer express service where you may check with our customer service personnel. We prioritize a fast turnaround to minimize your equipment downtime. We also offer expedited rush services for urgent requirements — please contact us to discuss availability.
